What "as-directed" actually means
A point-to-point ride is booked for one pickup and one destination. Hourly as-directed service is booked for a block of time — the vehicle and chauffeur are yours for that window, and where you go and when you leave each stop is decided as the day happens rather than locked in when you book. That flexibility is the entire value: a meeting that runs forty minutes long doesn't blow up the schedule, a stop you didn't plan on adding doesn't require a second reservation, and the chauffeur waits at the curb rather than being released and re-dispatched. The tradeoff is that as-directed service costs more per hour than a single flat-rate transfer costs per mile — which is the right tradeoff exactly when the value is in the flexibility, and the wrong one when you already know your one stop and don't need the driver to wait.
